Micro-Interlock Extensions are available in different sizes to suit various hair densities and desired looks. The most common sizes are 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 and 0.3.

• 0.1 (Extra Small): This is the smallest size available and is typically recommended for finer hair textures or clients who want a very small, highly detailed microloc look.
• 0.15 (Small): A slightly fuller version of the smallest size, still very lightweight and ideal for finer to medium hair densities.
• 0.2 (Standard): This is the most commonly used and standard size. It offers a balanced, natural look and works well for most hair types and densities.
• 0.3 (Medium Microlocs): A fuller microloc size that creates a slightly thicker, more visible loc appearance while still maintaining a natural finish.

Final size selection is always based on your natural hair density, strength and the overall look you want to achieve.

A minimum of approximately 2 inches of natural hair is required. However, suitability also depends on your hair’s density, texture, strength and overall condition.

A virtual consultation is required to properly assess your hair before an installation can be approved.

Micro-Interlock Extensions can be installed on many different natural hair textures. However, the health, density and strength of the hair must be considered before moving forward.

Hair that is severely damaged, thinning or too weak may not be suitable for an extension installation.

Yes. Existing locs may be extended after they have been assessed for their size, strength, condition and overall suitability.

Existing Sisterlocks may be extended after an assessment.

However, we generally do not recommend creating a fresh Sisterlocks grid specifically for a new extension installation. The extension size must be selected according to the client’s natural density and the amount of hair each section can safely support.

Yes. Different sizes, lengths and colours are available. Final recommendations will be based on your natural density, hair condition and desired result.

The goal is always to create an installation that looks natural and does not place unnecessary tension on your hair.

A full Micro-Interlock Extension installation is usually completed over a 2-day period. Installation time can vary depending on the size, number and length of the extensions, as well as the client’s natural hair.

For Montreal appointments, installations are completed on weekdays only and not on weekends.

Every installation is customized. Pricing varies based on the location of the appointment, extension size, length, colour, number of extensions required and the condition of the client’s natural hair.

Please arrive with your hair freshly washed, fully detangled and free of heavy products.

Avoid heavy oils, butters and gels before the appointment. A lightweight leave-in conditioner is acceptable, but it should not be heavy or leave significant buildup on the hair.

Reties are generally recommended every eight to ten weeks. The exact schedule may vary depending on your rate of growth, hair density and lifestyle.

Waiting too long between appointments may cause excessive new growth, tangling, matting or unnecessary stress on the locs.

Yes. Your Micro-Interlock Extensions can be washed. You will be given guidance on when to complete your first wash and how to care for the locs during the settling stage.

Traditional rinse-out conditioner is generally discouraged because it can soften the hair and cause buildup inside the locs.

If conditioner is used occasionally, it must be rinsed out extremely well. The locs should be squeezed thoroughly during rinsing to prevent the product from remaining inside them.

A lightweight leave-in conditioner may be used as long as it does not leave heavy residue or buildup.

Lightweight oils and water-based products may be used sparingly. Heavy oils, butters, waxes, thick creams and gels should be avoided because they can cause buildup inside the locs.

The extensions are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural hair for a smooth, natural-looking result.

As the natural hair grows and matures into the loc, the overall look becomes even more seamless. The settling process will vary from person to person.

Yes. A consultation is required before booking a new Micro-Interlock Extension installation.

The consultation allows us to assess your hair, discuss your desired size, length, density and colour, and provide the correct pricing for your installation.

All consultations are virtual and completed by video call using FaceTime or another agreed video platform.

Virtual consultations are generally approximately 15 minutes long.

No. A consultation does not guarantee an installation date.

Your appointment is only secured once you have been approved for the service and the required booking fee or deposit has been paid.

The usual booking process is as follows:

1. A consultation is booked during one of the scheduled release periods throughout the year.
2. The consultation is completed and a personalized quote is provided.
3. A deposit is paid to secure the installation appointment.
4. The installation is confirmed and scheduled based on availability.

Consultation fees, booking fees and deposits are generally non-refundable.
